Study reveals dim light at night may promote breast cancer metastasis to bone

A study by Muralidharan Anbalagan, PhD, Tulane assistant professor of structural and cellular biology, showed that exposure to artificial dim light at night may contribute to the spread of breast cancer to the bones.

Tulane Law teams up with French Embassy to discuss plastic pollution

The Tulane Institute on Water Resources Law and Policy and the Center for Environmental Law hosted a film screening and panel discussion on the threat plastics have on the environment, especially to oceans. The event was part of a program of the French Embassy and the French Consulate’s Office of the Scientific Attaché.

Décou-Labat Residences dedication reminder

A ribbon-cutting ceremony for the Décou-Labat Residences will take place on Nov. 16 from 12:45 to 1 p.m. in front of the residences, located at 120 Janet Yulman Way. The residences will be named in honor of Deidre Dumas Labat and Reynold T. Décou, Sr., the first African-American undergraduates to earn degrees from Newcomb and Tulane, respectively. Following the ceremony, a discussion with Décou and Labat, moderated by Tulane board member Kim Boyle, will take place at 2 p.m. in the Kendall Cram Room on the second floor of the Lavin Bernick Center for University Life. The event is part of the Tulane Trailblazers initiative. For more information, click here.
