Mardi Gras Bead Dogs are popping up all around New Orleans, and one has taken up residence in front of Bruff Commons on the uptown campus. The large sculptures are part of a public art series and fundraiser launched by the Louisiana SPCA called Paws on Parade.
The campaign raises awareness for animal welfare and supports the art community. The Tulane bead dog, which was designed by students at Magnolia School, will be part of the Paws on Parade auction in November at the Louisiana SPCA's 34th annual Howling Success gala and fundraiser.
