Alex Kolker, adjunct professor in the department of Earth and Environmental Sciences, crouches to share a conversation with his canine companion Dupre on Thursday morning (Jan. 5) in Blessey Hall. Kolker refers to Dupre as a “Zydeco retriever,” and admits his dog is a regular visitor to the uptown campus. One of Dupre's many adoring fans is Tonya Durden, left, an administrative program coordinator in the department.
