Trash to Treasure sale inspires Tulanians to repurpose and reuse

Last week, students and parents packed the Tulane's Trash to Treasure sale — an annual tradition that finds new owners for gently used items. Trash to Treasure is a student-led waste reduction initiative. Each spring, student volunteers collect unwanted residence hall items from students and sell them at reduced prices to members of the Tulane community at the beginning of the next fall semester. Proceeds benefit local nonprofit organizations. This year's sale took place during Move-In week, Aug. 15-19.
