Fitts will participate in a panel discussion, hosted by the New Orleans Business Alliance, titled “Live From Washington Mardi Gras – State of the New Orleans Economy” today from 3:15 p.m. to 3:45 p.m. The discussion will be moderated by WBOK Radio host Gerod Stevens. Tulane’s Phi Beta Kappa chapter will host a lecture presented by Charlene Villaseñor Black, professor of art history and Chicana/o Studies at the University of California, Los Angeles, on Monday, Jan. 30, at 6 p.m. in Freeman Auditorium. Black’s lecture, titled “Thinking about Migration through Latinx Art,” will examine Chicanx (Mexican American) artists’ responses to global migration, in particular, Los Angeles artist Sandy Rodriguez.
