The Office of Sustainability has partnered with Glass Half Full, a local glass recycling startup founded by Tulanians, to expand glass recycling to eight collection hubs at residence halls across the uptown campus. The expansion could divert an estimated 250,000 pounds of glass annually from local landfills to Glass Half Full’s processing center, where it will be pulverized into coarse sand for coastal restoration projects in South Louisiana. Pictured is Max Steitz (left), Glass Half Full chief of operations and financial officer, and Corey Cummings (right), Glass Half Full processing and logistics associate.
