Children’s author and renowned businessman participate in Book Fest’s opening day sessions

The second annual New Orleans Book Festival at Tulane University opened on the uptown campus on Thursday, March 9, with two daytime sessions. The first, featured a morning reading by children’s author Julie Buehrle Luyster at the Newcomb Children’s Center. Later, a lunchtime session with David Rubenstein, co-founder and co-chairman of The Carlyle Group, one of the world’s largest and most successful private investment firms, and Gary Ginsberg, lawyer, American political consultant and corporate adviser, took place at the Goldring/Woldenberg Business Complex, home of the A. B. Freeman School of Business. The two sessions preceded the night’s headlining session featuring Microsoft founder Bill Gates.
