Students enjoyed their last dinner served at the Bruff Commons Dining Room on Aug. 20, 2019. Bruff, built in the 1960s, will eventually be torn down and replaced with a residential quad. The Commons, a $55 million, 77,000-square-foot facility that serves as a studying and meeting place for students, a dining facility, and the new home of the Newcomb Institute, opened Aug. 21.
Tulane President Mike Fitts will officially welcome the University community to The Commons at a fun-filled event at 6:15 p.m. on Aug. 26.
