Seventeen graduating seniors with the Tulane Emergency Medical Service group were recognized as Heroes and Helpers for their commitment to providing first-aid treatment to the Tulane community and also volunteering with New Orleans EMS during the COVID-19 pandemic while completing remote classwork to earn their degrees.

The New Orleans Book Festival at Tulane University's second virtual discussion will feature Sarah M. Broom, National Book Award winner and bestselling author of The Yellow House. The event will be held on Thursday, May 28, at 5 p.m. CT via Zoom.
