The Albert Lepage Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation at the A. B. Freeman School of Business will host the next in its Count the Costs: Racial Inequity series on Thursday, Aug. 18, at noon. Madeline Woo and Kevin Callison of the School of Public Health and Tropical Medicine will present “Racial Disparities in Severe Maternal Morbidity among Louisiana Medicaid Beneficiaries.” Woo and Callison will share the findings from their efforts to calculate the rate of severe maternal morbidity for Medicaid recipients in Louisiana from 2013-2015 and the economic cost of racial healthcare disparity.
