A Studio in the Woods (13401 Patterson Rd.) will host FORESTival: A Celebration of Art and Nature on Saturday, Nov. 13, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. The event will feature music from artists such as kei slaughter, The Soul Rebels, Dr. Michael White, Sidiki Conde of Guinea, Africa, and Titos Sompa of the Republic of Congo, Africa. Activities at the event include a book reading by Andy Horowitz, history professor at the School of Liberal Arts, a Gulf fish drawing session with artist, biologist and environmental activist Brandon Ballengée, walks in the woods, and more. Food will be provided by 12 Seasons Catering, Big O’s Original Pops, Chicken’s Kitchen, Dirty Dishes, and Faubourg Farms. The event is free for children but a $15 donation for adults is suggested.
