Tulane University Special Collections (TUSC) has announced the acquisition of the business papers and correspondence of OffBeat magazine, OffBeat publications, OffBeat-sponsored events, as well as the papers of publisher Jan Ramsey. OffBeat is a monthly magazine that features news, reviews, interviews and profiles about New Orleans and Louisiana music, musicians, culture, business, and events. Read More

Today through Friday, Nov. 19, the Center for Global Education will host International Education Week (IEW). The annual event will include globally-themed workshops, speakers and programs that invite the university community to celebrate the benefits of international representation and exchange, both on campus and in New Orleans. IEW will also feature the annual NTC Study Abroad Fair where students can meet with program providers and institutional representatives to learn more about opportunities to study abroad at partner institutions worldwide. The Title IX Office and Division of Student Affairs will host part one of Shifting the Paradigm 2021: By the Numbers on Tuesday, Nov. 16, at 7 p.m. via Zoom. Julia Broussard, interim assistant provost for Title IX, will share campus sexual misconduct reporting data from the past academic year, and Scott Tims, assistant vice president for Campus Health, will provide an update on Tulane’s All In plan. The event will also feature a talk by Kevin Swartout, professor of psychology and public health at Georgia State University, on sexual misconduct climate surveys. Registration is required.
