Wave ’21 brings Tulanians near and far back to campus for homecoming

Following an entirely online celebration of Homecoming last year, Tulanians relished the opportunity to join together, in person, to celebrate Wave ’21 Homecoming, Reunion and Family Weekend.

Homecoming festivities commenced with the traditional lighting of McAlister Auditorium and the debut of the 2021 Homecoming Court earlier in the week.

The weekend also featured numerous open houses, exhibitions, performances and lectures held across campus, class reunions, receptions and several other events celebrating the Tulane community. On Saturday, tailgating kicked off on Berger Family Lawn ahead of the Green Wave’s football game against the University of Tulsa in Yulman Stadium.

In line with Campus Health guidelines, all attendees of homecoming events on campus over the age of 12 were required to show proof of a COVID-19 vaccination or a negative COVID-19 test within 72 hours.
