Matt Koenig has been hired to help bring Tulane’s innovation and discoveries to the world as the university’s new executive director of Intellectual Property Management. The Murphy Institute’s Center for Ethics and Public Affairs will host a lecture by Serife Tekin, director of the Medical Humanities Program and associate professor of philosophy at the University of Texas at San Antonio. The subject of the talk will be digital technologies and mental health care. The lecture will take place today at 4 p.m. in the Stibbs Conference Room (#203) in the Lavin-Bernick Center for University Life. A reception will follow the lecture. The Division of Student Affairs will host a Leadership Educator in Residence (LEIR) who, as a scholar-practitioner of leadership theory and behavior, will conduct leadership training, education and development for the Tulane community. This semester’s LEIR is Marcy L. Shankman, author of Emotionally Intelligent Leadership: A Guide for Students. An Emotionally Intelligent Leadership workshop will take place Monday, Dec. 5, at 2:30 p.m. in the Stibbs Conference Room (#203) of the Lavin-Bernick Center for University Life (LBC).
