The 2023 New Orleans Book Festival at Tulane University has announced its much-anticipated lineup for the second-annual literary festival, which will take place March 9-11, 2023, on the uptown campus. The lineup features over 100 national, regional and local bestselling and critically acclaimed authors. The festival is free and open to the public.

Tulane alumnus Juan Carlos Monterrey Gomez has led the youngest delegation at COP26, the U.N. Climate Change Conference held last year. He also founded the Climate Resilient think tank, serves as executive director of the Geoversity School of Biocultural Leadership and is vice chair for the Implementation of the United Nations Climate Change Convention. The Newcomb Art Department will host the Dutch Americas Symposium on Friday, Dec. 9, and Saturday, Dec. 10, in Stone Auditorium at the Woldenberg Art Center. A keynote address will be delivered by Carrie Anderson, associate professor of History of Art and Architecture at Middlebury College, on Friday at 5:30 p.m. Anderson will discuss the Dutch West India Company’s presence in the Atlantic world. On Saturday, from 1-5 p.m., graduate students from Tulane and John Hopkins will present their object-based research on the visual and material culture of the Dutch West India Company.
